Chapter One

“What was simple in the moonlight by the morning never is.”

 Bright Eyes

Everyone has their limits.  You hear it in the news all of the time.  Amidst extenuating circumstances people can do the most terrible things to each other.  You can only be pushed so far before you snap.  All sense is lost for a split second and you are capable of anything.  Fearless of the consequences, you act out of the basest instinct and the result is unpredictable.

            I’ve had that feeling.

I had it at a Bright Eyes gig.

I shot one of my closest friends dead.

It’s alright, though – he was my stalker.
