Ripley Bennett

The self-styled artist of the group, Ripley wants to be a career poet and will consider most avenues to get where he wants to.  His friends have been boring him for some time, not least his occasionally hysterical girlfriend Faye.  He leaves a group Saturday night in search of solitude, only to receive a plea from Ryan down in London.  "You're my phone call," Ryan says, and it takes Ripley a while to realise the potential in this situation.

His journey to London is to support his friends, but he also sees the potential in the media limelight.  An encounter with a journalist may well change the course of his life forever.

Ripley would describe himself as an opportunist, which is not the way his friends back in Manchester view things once the dust has settled.
